The Nebraska Cattlemen Foundation welcomes steer donations by individuals, businesses, groups of individuals or businesses and NC affiliates. Donors can donate their own steer or purchase one from the foundation. Donors do not have to own the whole steer if they would prefer to only own 1/4, 1/3 or 1/2. NCF SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS During the Foundation Lunch program, NCF also recognized the 2025 scholarship recipients and announced that NCF awarded $81,200 in scholarships to 65 outstanding students, furthering their education goals in the 2025-2026 academic year. The 2025 Nebraska Beef State Scholarship was awarded to Allison Walbrecht. This premier award is a $10,000 scholarship that was established in 2014 to support outstanding junior, senior or graduate-level Nebraska resident students enrolled in a Nebraska college or university and pursuing a beef-industry-related degree.
