62 NEBRASKA CATTLEMAN February 2024 2023 NC Convention Recap From members of Congress trying to eliminate the Beef Checkoff program and ongoing Farm Bill debates to much-needed property tax reform in Nebraska, active participation from Nebraska Cattlemen (NC) members in the policy arena is more important than ever. With more than 500 attendees and a sold-out trade show, the 2023 Nebraska Cattlemen Annual Convention brought every sector of the beef cattle industry together for fellowship, fun and open discussions about protecting our way of life. Convention began with an NC Board of Directors meeting before attendees gathered to hear updates on membership – the lifeblood of Nebraska Cattlemen.
