64 NEBRASKA CATTLEMAN February 2024 Member Services and Revenue Development Committee Mark Eisele, National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) president-elect, kicked off the Member Services Committee Luncheon by addressing attendees on the importance of NCBA membership and getting involved as a member of both NC and NCBA. Next, Chad Engle, livestock operations manager at the U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (USMARC), emphasized the positive relationship between NC and USMARC. He discussed his experiences and philosophies with managing employees, and he promoted USMARC’s internship program. Member Services Chair Quentin Dailey presented the 2022-2023 membership awards. He announced members of the Top Hand Recruitment Club, and he teased that the recruitment winner would be announced at the upcoming Opening General Session. Dailey also congratulated Young Nebraska Cattlemen-Lincoln for winning the affiliate retention/ growth prize. Butler County Cattlemen and Kearney-Franklin Cattlemen earned second and third places, respectively. After the luncheon, the Member Services Committee Meeting followed with reports from Member Services vice chairs for NC Regions 1-9. The membership team announced David Bracht, attorney with Kutak Rock, presents on carbon sequestration during one of three Council Breakout Sessions.
