Sudbeck, CEO/executive secretary at the Board of Educational Lands and Funds of the State of Nebraska, gave a presentation on the program. Mary Bea Halimeh, NCBA director of member and affiliate services, gave an update on the NCBA Collegiate Partnership Program. The Education and Research Committee reviewed policy. Brand and Property Rights Committee The Brand and Property Rights Committee covered a number of topics. Chairman Matt Blackford, Chair-Elect Rob Star and Vice Chair Frank Utter welcomed attendees. Sen. Paul Strommen (D-47) and Spike Jordan discussed USDA APHIS Wildlife Services funding regarding predator control and requested NC send a letter requesting restoration of funds. Nebraska Brand Committee Director Don Arp and Chairman Duane Gangwish gave updates on changes and developments with the Brand Committee, including fee adjustments and discussions about 2025 legislative matters and developments over the interim. They also briefed attendees on a trip to Kansas and outlined differences and similarities between livestock ownership and brand inspection between the two states.
