The committee reviewed resolutions and policy statements. Natural Resources and Environment Committee The Natural Resources and Environment Committee heard from Natalie and Shaylee Jones, two members of the 2025 Leopold Conservation Award-winning family at Diamond Bar Ranch, who shared the history of their family’s operation and the conservation practices they use to preserve land and water resources for future generations. Logan Pribbeno then detailed the grazing rotations and unique ranching practices he employs at Wine Glass Ranch to promote sustainability on his operation, which earned them recognition as NCBA’s 2025 Region 7 Environmental Stewardship Award winner. NCBA Chief Counsel Mary-Thomas Hart followed with a comprehensive update on federal natural resource and environment issues, including the Trump administration’s recent change to the WOTUS ruling. She also highlighted USDA programs such as EQIP and CSP pilot programs, as well as CAFO permitting, underscoring their impact on producers.
