70 NEBRASKA CATTLEMAN January 2025 PEERS NEBRASKA CATTLEMEN FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS The Nebraska Cattlemen Foundation (NCF) offers scholarships to qualified youth in Nebraska who have an interest in the beef industry. Since 1970, NCF has provided scholarships to students furthering their education goals through contributions received by donors to the Nebraska Cattlemen Foundation. Applications for the 2025-2026 academic year are available on the Nebraska Cattlemen website, www.nebraskacattlemen.org. Established in 2014, the Nebraska Cattlemen Beef State Scholarship is the premier Nebraska Cattlemen Foundation scholarship, providing a $10,000 scholarship to an outstanding college junior, senior or graduate-level student. Eligible students must be Nebraska residents, be enrolled in a Nebraska college or university and pursuing a beef industry-related degree. The scholarship will be awarded based on student need, Nebraska beef industry involvement (past achievements and future plans) and academics. Students will be required to complete the written application (due in the NCF office by March 1, 2025), and finalists will be invited to an interview with the selection committee. In addition to the Beef State Scholarship, the foundation offers numerous other scholarships ($1,000 minimum), awarded on the basis of academic achievement, beef industry involvement and goals/ quality of application from the following funds. Please refer to the NCF scholarship application for complete selection requirements.
