The Nebraska Beef Passport program was started in 2020 as a way to highlight the delicious and high-quality beef served at independent restaurants across the state. The incentive-based program encourages consumers to visit participating locations, enjoy a delicious beef meal and earn points towards prizes offered through the Beef Council. Beef Passport users are also entered into a grand prize drawing for $250 in fresh beef. “The Beef Passport is a fun way to explore the state and enjoy the amazing beef you can find in every corner of Nebraska,” adds Wegner, who works hard to coordinate the program. “Each year, we have thousands of people who utilize the passport through their mobile phones and earn prizes for their visits to the participating locations. The program not only increases demand for beef but also helps support businesses in communities across the state.” The Nebraska Beef Passport program kicks off on May 1 as part of the Beef Month celebrations and runs through the end of September.
