Devin Jakub, affiliate secretary, and Jerimy McDonald, affiliate president, led the meeting at Frontier Coop in David City. Devin Jakub spoke on behalf of ADM about herd health and strengthening feed programs. The SAUNDERS COUNTY LIVESTOCK AND AG ASSOCIATION meets on March 18 for a social and informative meeting. Steve Olson with Spraytec discussed the critical nutrients for plant health and Spraytec’s solutions for farmers. Ron Kulwicki with Zoetis discussed the company’s latest technology and reviewed products for beef cattle producers. President Dan Kellner led the meeting and the affiliate’s board members signed attendees in and greeted members. Pete McClymont serves as the emcee at the EXETER FEEDERS AND BREEDERS banquet on March 23. The event featured a social hour, bovine bingo, scholarship recognition and live band. The affiliate recognized new affiliate board members as well. BOONE NANCE CATTLEMEN hosts their annual banquet on April 6 featuring a social and prime rib meal. The affiliate announced scholarship winners and held a live auction. The featured entertainment was comedian Louis Ramey. DAWSON COUNTY CATTLEMEN President Brandon Sorensen leads an affiliate meeting on April 4 in Sumner. Connor Biehler and Brent Plugge with Nebraska Extension spoke about heifer development and referenced the Great Plains Heifer Development Center. NC Vice President Craig Uden discussed current NC activities. Jeff Rudolph, Nebraska Beef Council (NBC) director, spoke about recent NBC initiatives. WASHINGTON COUNTY CATTLEMEN meet for social time before their annual banquet consisting of a prime rib meal, social and silent auction on April 6. The banquet also included a live auction to fundraise for the affiliate and scholarships. Current scholarship winners were announced and the recipients spoke about their upcoming educational plans.
