58 NEBRASKA CATTLEMAN March 2026 and the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) play an important role in helping the industry remain successful and sustainable. One area Woltemath is especially passionate about is consumer education. “The things we do every day are often taken for granted,” Woltemath says. “We need to show the consuming public what we do and how well we do it.” Woltemath began his involvement with Nebraska Cattlemen about 10 years ago as an associate member and has become more engaged since joining the allied industry in his role with Merck Animal Health. For Woltemath, serving in a leadership role allows him to contribute from the perspective of technology and innovation while supporting Nebraska producers. Through his service on the Nebraska Cattlemen Board, Woltemath hopes to continue learning from producers across the state while helping advance conversations around technology adoption and communication with consumers. He looks forward to building relationships within the organization and supporting efforts that strengthen the beef industry. Outside the beef industry, Woltemath enjoys spending time with his wife and staying connected to agriculture. His favorite movie is Tombstone and his favorite beef meal is a New York strip steak with a baked potato. Woltemath encourages producers and industry partners to stay active in Nebraska Cattlemen to help ensure the industry has a strong voice and a unified message for the future.
