BOOTS ON THE GROUND PEOPLE SOUTH CENTRAL CATTLEMEN members compete in the annual golf tournament in Red Cloud on Aug. 8. The event consisted of 18 golf teams, including youth. Organized to raise funds for affiliate scholarships, golfers enjoyed a steak meal at the conclusion of the tournament. PLATTE VALLEY CATTLEMEN members compete in a golf tournament on Aug. 12. in Columbus. The tournament was a fourperson scramble, and pin and team prizes were awarded at the event’s conclusion. There were 208 golfers who competed, and a steak dinner was provided after the tournament. The committee had a bean bag toss and Beef Man game for participants, and volunteers distributed educational materials and recipes. NC VICE PRESIDENT CRAIG UDEN, right, joins Sen. Deb Fischer’s agriculture roundtable at the Nebraska State Fair on Aug. 30 to discuss important issues like trade, transportation and infrastructure. NC appreciates Sen.
